THE MOST COMMON VITAMIN DEFICIENCIES DURING THE WINTER

The most common vitamins missed during winter include;

Vitamin C

The cold season comes with numerous infections, flu, and overwhelming bugs, which can risk your general health. But vitamin C is important to boost the immunity by increasing white cells production. Winter may also cause trouble if you have skin illnesses and circulatory issues. However, vitamin C is helpful for strengthening blood vessels, killing inflammation, and raising collagen release for a brighter skin.

Vitamin D

During winter, most people spend time indoors yet vitamin D requires enough exposure to sunlight. Besides, there is little or no sunlight for a long time, making it harder to acquire it. But I always tell my clients to supplement if they want to boost their vitamin D levels. While food consumption can help, it may not supply sufficient amounts that meet your daily requirement.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is rarely deficient but it may be helpful to boost your skin health. The winter can cause your skin to dry out and appear flaky. To transform it, vitamin E products can help retain water, leaving it smoother and more resilient. It can again reduce inflammation, wrinkles, and redness.
