PROVEN AND POTENTIAL RISKS

THE PROVEN AND POTENTIAL RISKS THAT VAPING POSES TO OUR HEALTH

Vaping or e-cigarettes currently trend as traditional cigarettes go under. They have been touted harmless because of the odorless smoke but with flavors, which indicate nicotine presence. When you hear about nicotine, what clicks to your mind? Well, addiction is the number one side effect, then the harmful impacts on mental health. Also, various young adults that vape first, eventually start using traditional cigarettes, which comes with numerous deleterious health effects, which can delay fitness goals. It suggests that vaping is not good, especially to people in fitness and sports. Vaping reduces an individual’s physical condition, exposing them to injuries when exercising or in games. It also increases nicotine in blood, which affects cardiovascular health by narrowing the arteries; a great factor contributing to higher heart rate and raised blood pressure. Consequently, an individual’s heart weakens and you can imagine what might happen, especially when trying to push to their limits during a workout session. Vaping also affects the respiratory system leading to shortness of breath, wheezing, or experiencing asthmatic attacks that can decline an individual’s effort in keeping fit.
