THE SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS OF PAINKILLERS

From my research, here are some serious side effects of taking painkillers

Aspirin

A common drug used for relieving pain. Aspirin’s long-term use can trigger stomach bleeding, stomach ulcers, and digestion problems. It can also cause Reye’s syndrome, which might be fatal when administered to kids frequently. Aspirin can heighten the risks of stroke, kidney, liver, and brain conditions due to the bleeding effects it has.

Ibuprofen

A fast-acting NSAIDs painkiller can lead to stomach and kidney conditions when taken for longer periods.

Other serious effects of painkillers include;

  • Weakening of the overall immune system due to high dependence on painkillers.
  • It can trigger addiction habits, where individuals feel they should take the pill even when it’s not necessary.
  • Tolerance to the drug forces you to take more painkillers to experience similar effects.
