US INGREDIENTS THAT ARE BANNED IN OTHER COUNTRIES

Why Are Some Food Ingredients Allowed in The US but Banned in Other Countries?

From my experiences and research, most countries tend to ban some ingredients allowed in the USA mainly due to beliefs that they are harmful to the body. Most of the ingredients contain growth promoters, genetically processed components, and harmful additives, which are harmful to human health.

What Are Your Thoughts On Certain Things That Are Banned in Other Countries But Not The Us

Ingredients such as Yellow No. 5, No. 6, Red No. 40, titanium dioxide, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) / butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), brominated vegetable oil, olestra, potassium bromate, and azodicarbonamide are banned in most countries but allowed in the US majorly due to the difference in government policies pertaining the type of toxic substances. Unlike other countries, which tend to ban ingredients after they are said to be problematic to humans, the US emphasizes a direct connection or proof for it to be banned. These ingredients are allowed in the US as they lack proof that they can cause the said toxic effect at the stated level.
