WHAT IS THE WORST BEVERAGE THAT LEADS TO AGING SKIN?

Soda

As a dermatologist, I strongly advise you to limit or regulate your soda intake and other sugary beverages. Soda is usually high in sugars, sweeteners, and other chemicals that are not good for the skin. These compounds accumulate in the body over time, triggering inflammation and cell damage, common aging causatives. Soda can also increase phosphate levels leading to premature aging as it causes wrinkles, lines, thin, pale, and flaky skin. The coke used to give soda its color also accelerates the appearance of aging signs. I recommend swipe sodas with dark green tea, water, plant milk, beetroot juice, and cocoa for a healthier, younger skin tone.

What Role Does Diet Play in Skin Health

What we eat has a huge impact on our skin health. The skin depends on the type of diet to maintain a naturally healthy and youthful complexion. Food acts as an internal tool for promoting a clear, healthy tone. Nutritious diets high in vitamin A, C, E, and B, copper, selenium, zinc, hyaluronic acids, proteins, healthy fats, and staying hydrated provide the skin with numerous nutrients that help collagen formation, regulate skin metabolism, and other activities that improve overall skin health. However, diets comprising unhealthy fats, fried foods, processed foods, sugars, salt, spices, refined carbs, and alcohol promote aging as they trigger inflammation and inhibit collagen production and other essential processes.

I believe that nutrition science is a wonderful helper both for the preventive improvement of health and adjunctive therapy in treatment. My goal is to help people improve their health and well-being without torturing themselves with unnecessary dietary restrictions. I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle – I play sports, cycle, and swim in the lake all year round. With my work, I have been featured in Vice, Country Living, Harrods magazine, Daily Telegraph, Grazia, Women's Health, and other media outlets.
