YEAST INFECTIONS

YEAST INFECTIONS

1. What causes yeast infections in certain areas (vaginal, penile, mouth, skin)

Poor hygiene or skin to skin contact with parts containing the infection, such as having condomless intercourse with a woman having vaginal yeast infection.

2. What other conditions can look like yeast infections?

Genital warts, herpes, and trichomoniasis. The skin may also react to soap or sanitary and hygiene products, showing similar symptoms.

3. When should you see a doctor about a yeast infection?

I recommend consulting your doctor if the symptoms do not go away with self-care practice. Suppose it is your first infection or have symptoms during pregnancy, a doctor’s advise is necessary. Furthermore, people with recurrent symptoms, around four or more in one year should seek a specialist’s attention.

Using the acquired academic and professional experience, I advise patients with various complaints about mental health - depressed mood, nervousness, lack of energy and interest, sleep disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and anxieties, difficulty concentrating, and stress. In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
