CHOLESTEROL CONTENT

DOES THE CHOLESTEROL CONTENT OF SHELLFISH INCREASE LDL LEVELS?

Are you planning to incorporate shellfish in your diet but wondering whether it is healthy or not? Well, shellfish, including oysters, cockles, and clams contain lower cholesterol levels that may not pose a significant danger to your blood cholesterol, especially when eaten in moderation. Nevertheless, the cooking method may be the problem. I always discourage dipping it in butter, oily sauces, or creams. Fried or breaded types can also be dangerous because they add saturated fats, cholesterol, and Trans fats, which are harmful to our health.
