ENDING A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP

ENDING A LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIP

If you are looking to end a relationship peacefully

Be sure about what you want

Allow yourself enough time to consider your emotions and why you decided that way. Be honest with yourself regardless of how your decision might hurt your partner. That is what serves you right, you only need to be sensitive.

Do it face to face

Being in a long term-relationship likely means you have undergone and shared many things. Therefore, respect your partner by breaking up one on one. Suppose your relationship was long distance, a video conversation followed by a phone call can do. While texting through all platforms might look simple, put yourself in their shoe and imagine how bad and hurting it would appear.

Plan what to say and how the receiver would respond

How will your partner react upon receiving the news? Hurt? Mad? Relieved? Thinking over such will make you sensitive and ready. Do not forget to think of how you will handle whatever comes.

To determine when to exit an LTR, watch out for the signs below;

Abusive relationship

Any kind of abuse in a relationship should never be tolerated, be it mental, physical, economical, or sexual. Even if you still love them, it is dangerous.

An egocentric partner

If your partner values their individual interests more than you, such as pursuing what they love, takes more time gaming, or always goes out with friends without involving you, there is a problem. The relationship is unhealthy if one partner lacks time for the other. It may be a warning sign that you should quit.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
