How To Boost Your Happiness

How To Boost Your Happiness

Keep Moving

Regular exercise and physical activity increase the production of mood-related hormones, including serotonin, dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin. When the levels of these hormones are high, you areless likely to suffer stress, depression and anxiety. This can elevate your confidence and happiness. To get started, warm up before your workout. Start slow (exercising for at least 10 minutes) and gradually work your way up (exercising for 30 or 60 minutes).

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

As a credentialled therapist, I found that a lack of sleep causes increased production and release of a stress hormone called cortisol. High cortisol levels can cause anxiety. A lack of sleep also makes you susceptible to heart disease and diabetes, conditions that can delete happiness from your life. To get a good night’s rest, do not take alcohol or caffeine before hitting the pillow, remove digital devices from your bedroom and eat a small amount of food before bedtime.

Have Gratitude

Like exercising regularly, practising gratitude boosts the levels of serotonin and dopamine. Due to this, you are likely to experience feelings of pleasure and happiness. To practice gratitude, I identify things you are grateful for daily and write them down.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
