How to Connect with Old Friends

How to Connect with Old Friends

Search For Them

If you want to reconnect with an old pal, social media can be a great starting point. Try searching them on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and LinkedIn. If this does not work, use search engines including Google, Bing, and Yahoo, or reach out to their current friends or family for their phone number. If you went to the same school, join the alumni association websites. There, you can get their phone number or mailing address.

Reconnect With Them

Once you find their phone number or mailing address, try reconnecting with them. You can email, call, or video chat them. If you don’t have their number, contact them through social media.

Keep the Ball Rolling

At the beginning of your conversation, you may want to talk about your hobbies, work, or food. After that, share those memories you created together, share what has been happening in your lives, and tell your friends why you are looking for them. If there are previous conflicts, discuss them and plan to meet in person. If distance doesn’t allow you to meet, I strongly recommend regular phone calls or video chats. This will help you stay connected.

What Response You Can Expect

When you reach out to your old buddy, chances are they will be happy. For this reason, you can expect positive responses.
