HOW TO TEST YOUR SELF-ESTEEM AND TIPS FOR IMPROVING IT

To test your self-esteem levels, ask yourselves these simple questions at first?

•             Do you love the person you are growing into?

•             Do other people’s remarks or comments make you feel sad or low?

•             Do you feel anxious or nervous when meeting new people or a large crowd?

•             How do you feel when rejected or after other people’s validations?

•             Do you feel inferior at times?

•             Do you believe in what you do or think of failure?

People with high self-esteem are less impacted by other people’s views and believe in what they do.

Tips for Improving It

I recommend you set daily challenges, learn how to give or accept compliments, know your real value, have positive affirmations, enhance self-care or compassion, know your weak areas and focus on strengthening them, and lastly, avoid self-criticism or negative beliefs about yourself.

Raising your self-esteem begins with believing in yourself. Always be kind to yourself and understand that making mistakes is fine, thus helping forgive yourself. Also, be optimistic by avoiding any negative affirmations about yourself. Try to substitute negative mentality with positive vibes. You can also be self-reliant. Let no public opinion alter your moves. There will be no more relying on others for love and appreciation but accepting and loving yourself, which boosts your self-esteem.

In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
