PERIOD AND OVULATION TRACKING

PERIOD AND OVULATION TRACKING IN NEW APPLE WATCH – HOW CAN TEMPERATURE AND CYCLE TRACKING HELP?

How might temperature tracking help women track their menstruation and ovulation — i.e. what do temperature changes tell us (that ovulation is occurring, that menstruation is about to begin, that there’s something else going on health-wise?)

A reduction in body temperature indicates that you are about to ovulate, but a slight increase occurs after ovulation.

How can period tracking (another feature) help people become more aware their cycle or any abnormalities with it – Medication tracking is another feature

Helps understand your cycle and reproductive health

Period tracking is good for your menses and how they affect you. Any changes in energy levels, acne on the skin, or moods can tell more about your general wellness, reproductive health, and your period’s impact on you as an individual.

Fertility

Ovulation and period tracking is useful for people concerned about pregnancy. If you want to conceive or not, your cycle can mostly tell whether the chances of getting pregnant are higher or lower. The cycle can also help a doctor tell if you are experiencing fertility issues.

I believe research has shown that people often struggle with taking birth control at the same time every day — can you comment on that research and how a tracker can help people remember to take their medications (birth control but i suppose other meds too!) https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2

I think many people taking daily pills for birth control find it hard because it slips their mind, thus likely to temper with the effectiveness of the drug. But using a cycle tracker reminds on the correct days and timings for taking yoir pills, which enhances their effectiveness in birth control.
