SERIOUS DISORDER

SIGNS A NERVOUS HABIT MAY SIGNIFY A MORE SERIOUS DISORDER

The following habits could signal a serious condition;

Chewing pens

Chewing pens and pencils may drive germs from your hands to the writing material. Some viruses or germs can stay on a surface for as long as one day, thus increasing risks of infections. Furthermore, chewing writing tools can harm your dental formula or gums.

Licking lips

People possibly lick their lips during dry weather or because of anxiety. But it is not advisable because licking only risks putting acid from saliva to the already damaged lips. The acidity can increase the burning sensation or cause more harm. You may also cause fibromas development that may need surgical treatment to remove.

Faking symptoms to a doctor

While doctors are specialists trained in various sectors dealing with health and medication, they may not know how to read minds. Therefore, hiding information about your health, probably due to feeling embarrassed may not do you good. It may cause insufficient diagnosis or testing that could result in serious illnesses, including drug interaction issues.
