STAYING SINGLE FOREVER AND I WOULD LIKE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE INTERESTED IN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL ELEMENTS OF THIS EXPERIENCE

More and more people today are opting to remain single rather than be in a relationship. This is due to a rise in spirituality and self care becoming a priority. People are choosing to work on themselves and put themselves first. They’re starting to realise that the only way to truly be happy is to learn to love yourself first and until you can do that you’ll never really have a good connection with a partner. It has been amazing to watch. Women in particular are choosing to remain single, especially women in their late 40’s or above. They are still enjoying going on dates but aren’t looking for anything serious. They are enjoying the freedom that single life brings, allowing them to do what they want when they want without having to answer to anyone. Staying single forever doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy other peoples company or even have sexual relationships. You just get to do it on your terms and when you feel like doing it. Some single people have come across some resistance from others with people calling them selfish but self care is never selfish. It’s a necessity and without it we become run down, tired, anxious and depressed.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
