Type 1 Diabetes Is Tougher on Girls Than Boys

While the exact reasons why type 1 diabetes is tougher on girls on girls than boys remain unclear, researchers point fingers at depression, disordered eating, and body image issues. Researchers believe type 1 diabetes increases the risk of depression in both girls and boys. However, the condition affects more girls than boys, making the former suffer more than the latter. Type 1 diabetes can also cause weight gain, resulting in body image problems. While body image problems affect boys and girls, researchers believe girls are more concerned about their body shape, size, or weight than boys. This makes it difficult for them to control their blood sugars. Due to more emphasis on appearance and weight, girls are also more prone to disordered eating than boys, making type 1 diabetes hard to manage.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
