WALKING AS EXERCISE

WALKING AS EXERCISE

But is only walking enough exercise?

Well, it depends with some variables, including distance covered and where. Walking for at least 30 minutes is significant. It can improve your general health- increased cardiovascular health, muscle endurance, and strengthen the bones.

And could too much walking do harm to the body? Please include information for different age groups.

As always, overdoing something may turn poisonous. Doing excessive exercises, generally heightens your risk of developing injuries, such as stress fractures. They are called overuse injuries. They may arise from walking at an excessive intensity, longer distances, or loading too much while walking. For children, too much walking can reduce the psych of doing a preferred activity or hinder the mind from the required rest. The impact on senior adults may be more, especially those with underlying body conditions like stroke or arthritis.
