What Are the Toxins in Commercial Lubricants?

Parabens, humectants, petrochemicals, and microbicides are the top toxins in commercial lubricants. Humectants including glycerin and propylene glycol cause dehydration, encouraging vaginal or rectal irritation, vaginal infection, and STIs. Microbicides kill the good bacteria in the vagina, exposing you to STIs. Petrochemicals, including benzoic acid and benzene, are extremely dehydrating. Like humectants, they irritate the skin and set the stage for vaginal infection and STIs. Parabens trigger cancer, making the lube harmful. As an experienced MD, I strongly advise that you look at the label of the lube before buying. Avoid anything that harbors any of the above harmful chemicals.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
