What Is the Definition of Tech Neck?

Tech neck is the technology-related pain you experience in various parts of your body, including the neck, shoulder and back. This pain is often accompanied by headaches, sagging skin and neck wrinkles.

What Causes Tech Neck?

Tech neck occurs when you repeatedly lean forward to use digital devices (think; Phones, tablets or computers).

What Are the Symptoms of Tech Neck?

Symptoms of tech neck include headaches, discomfort or pain in the lower neck, shoulders and upper back, stiff necks, hand and arm numbness or pain resulting from spinal nerve inflammation and pain or discomfort around the jaw area.

What Are Tips to Get Rid of Tech Neck or Help Remedy It?

Get enough rest, get a neck massage or go for physical therapy. To reduce spinal nerve inflammation responsible for hand and arm numbness or pain, take a spinal epidural injection. You can also perform stretching exercises to reduce the pain. To prevent tech neck from happening in the future, I advise you to change your sitting posture and always ensure you use your digital devices while at eye level.
