What Is IBS?

Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) is an intestinal disorder that disrupts bowel movements, causing abdominal pain or discomfort. Although IBS might not lead to death, it reduces the quality of life. Demographically, women and young adults are more prone to the condition than men.

Why It Affects People

No one really knows why IBS affects people. However, the ever-growing body of research suggests the condition results from an overactive colon or immune system.

Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of IBS include unexplained weight loss, cramping, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating, and gas.

My goal is to help people improve their health and well-being without torturing themselves with unnecessary dietary restrictions. I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle – I play sports, cycle, and swim in the lake all year round. With my work, I have been featured in Vice, Country Living, Harrods magazine, Daily Telegraph, Grazia, Women's Health, and other media outlets.
