White Lies

White Lies

White lies are untruths we use in our daily life. Mostly, we use them to save our relationships and protect ourselves in hectic situations. Because we grow up in a society that encourages white-lie telling, we are not crucified when we use white lies in our daily social interactions.

How To Recognize It When It Happens

During white-lie telling, the other party may;

  • Speak more or slowly than usual
  • Use a higher or lower tone than usual
  • Display unusual facial expressions
