Rowing is a compound exercise engaging more than 80% of muscles. It enhances the cardiovascular by testing an individual’s aerobic and anaerobic fitness levels. It not only helps better your cardiovascular endurance but also enables the participant to work through lactic acid accumulation that causes discomfort and muscular pain.

2, 000 meters rowing is regarded as the best for testing fitness because it tests your cardio and strength without possible cheating. It is challenging due to the sprint effort incurred. But it is among the most effective workouts I always recommend to my clients, especially those with joint and knee problems and require low-impact activities. I also include the workout in programs for my pregnant clients and the ones with knee joint pain. It helps work their lower body and abdominals without putting pressure on their ankles and knees.
