I have the following recommendations;
Oatmeal bath
Oatmeal was traditionally used for relieving skin irritation. For instance, colloidal oatmeal contains antioxidants that feature anti-inflammatory properties for reducing irritation and itchiness. I also advise my clients to apply a skin moisturizer after the bath to keep the skin intact.
Apply coconut oil
Coconut oil contains hydrating and smoothening effects on the skin. It has structures that fill the spaces in skin cells, leaving a smooth surface. Simply apply it on your dry face every day, and you will be impressed by the outcome. You can also use it on sensitive skin areas, including beneath the eyes or mouth.
Petroleum jelly
A study demonstrated that petroleum jelly can brighten skin among the older population. It works by retaining moisture in the skin, helping relieve dryness, patches, and irritation.
