SUPPLEMENTS OR VITAMINS

ANY SUPPLEMENTS OR VITAMINS THAT CAN BE DANGEROUS IF TAKEN TOGETHER

Vitamin D and Calcium

Please could you explain why this is and what the effect could be?

We all know that vitamin D and calcium are important nutrients in the body. They help in building strong bones and teeth, and calcium also helps in promoting heart health. The body requires vitamin D to absorb calcium. However, taking them together may raise the risk of stroke because vitamin D can cause more calcium accumulation in blood leading to heart issues.

What should someone do if they have taken this combination?

If you have been combining these two supplements, simply hydrate morewith water to help flush out the excess calcium from blood. You may also consult a doctor to prescribe medicines, including Bisphosphonates, which can lessen calcium levels.

Can you advise on safe ways to take these supplements?

I recommend taking the two supplements at different times apart, such as, at least two hours apart. Again, it is best if you dwell on changing lifestyle instead of using pills and supplements.
