BLACK TEA

BLACK TEA

1) What are your thoughts about the study/findings?

I think people should consider taking various teas, especially black teato reap the health benefits it offers, including reducing the risk of death.

2) Why does black tea reduce mortality from leading causes?

Black tea contains antioxidant compounds, including polyphenols that lower the risk of most chronic illnesses, such as, diabetes, heart issues, and hypertension. These compounds have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer features, and help manage blood lipids.

3) Adding milk and/or sugar apparently doesn’t affect the benefits of black tea. Why is that?

No. Research shows that milk had almost no effects on the benefits of black tea.

4) Is it possible to drink too much black tea?

Excessive consumption can overwhelm the body due to high caffeine levels that can cause negative health impacts; heart burn, hypertension, and jitters. But smaller caffeine amounts can promote mental health and increase weight loss.

5) Is there anything else you’d like to add? Please provide your name, full credentials, email, and professional website or LinkedIn account. Thank you!

While black tea is proven to reduce mortality risk, research does not rule out other types of teas because they also give almost the same benefit.
