Can Energy Drinks Increase Your Risk of Blood Clotting?

According to one study (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26188956/), energy drinks cause platelet aggression. This process can cause clumping of platelets, resulting in blood clots or deep vein thrombosis(DVT). Scientists believe platelet aggression is caused by high amounts of caffeine, sugar and taurine. While the available studies on the relationship between energy drinks and blot clotting are promising, I feel there is a need for further clinical studies to help us understand better how energy drinks affect our health.
