ENDOMETRIOSIS

ENDOMETRIOSIS AND NON-MEDICINAL WAYS PEOPLE CAN ALLEVIATE THEIR SYMPTOMS

Endometriosis condition happens when a tissue-like uterine lining develops outside the uterus, such as, the bowel, ovaries, or oviduct. The tissue thickens and sheds during a period, resulting in cramps, and could later form a scar. Unfortunately, this condition lacks a cure. But I tell my clients to use the following home remedies to relieve the discomfort or pain caused. I recommend the below;

Pelvic massage

A massage at the pelvic region can reduce pain related to endometriosis. It increases blood circulation at the lower back and pelvis, leading to relaxation and less pain from the formed scar.

Anti-inflammatory diet

While this remedy is not fast enough, it helps lower future endometriosis related pain. I recommend eating foods with anti-inflammatory properties, such as, leafy veggies, celery, and salmon. Furthermore, I urge people to reduce intake of highly processed and refined foods, alcohol, and dairy, which could increase inflammation.

Heat

Applying heat at the pelvic muscles can lower cramping and pain. You can explore various options, including heating pads, hot water bottles, and warm baths. Please avoid direct heat application on your skin. For example, use a wrapped hot water bottle to release heat indirectly to the body.

The work of a family doctor includes a wide range of clinical diversity, which requires extensive knowledge and erudition from a specialist. However, I believe that the most important thing for a family doctor is to be human because the cooperation and understanding between the doctor and the patient are crucial in ensuring successful health care. On my days off, I love being in nature. Since childhood, I have been passionate about playing chess and tennis. Whenever I have time off, I enjoy traveling around the world.
