Are you looking to lower your cholesterol? Do the following;
Eat healthy foods, such as;
Beans
Beans have high fiber amounts that lower cholesterol absorption in the bloodstream. Other fiber foods, include oatmeal, pears, and apples.
Avoid trans fats and saturated fats
Trans fats and saturated fats founds in foods, such as, dairy products and red meat or cakes and crackers are famous for raising the LDL cholesterol in the body. If you cannot avoid them, please limit their intake for more safety.
Regular exercise
Exercising once a week is good, but may not be enough to impact your cholesterol. I recommend committing at least three days of moderate exercise intensity every week to reap the benefits. Each session can take about half an hour to help increase the good cholesterol. I tell my colleagues to start with activities like brisk walking or playing a sport of choice, then start hitting the gym later.
Avoid alcohol intake
Research links alcohol intake to higher LDL levels. It is best to moderate your intake if you drink it already. To illustrate, men can have a maximum of two drinks per day, and women one. If you have never drunk, I advise you to avoid it completely for more gains. Be warned that excessive consumption can cause other serious issues apart from raising your cholesterol.
