GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPES AND TIPS

I recommend the following recipe tips for nutritious green smoothies;

For easy preparation always ensure you have the essential ingredients as below starting from frozen greens and fruits to protein powders.

Frozen fruits

I suggest you pack your fridge with green bananas and let them ripe before slicing them up for your smoothies. Other ideal fruits are pineapples, berries, oranges, mangoes, peaches, and grapefruits.

Frozen greens

Add the frozen bananas to an airtight container containing frozen greens for thicker smoothie and avoid ice packs as they interfere with the texture. Kales, beet grains, collard greens, spinach, lettuce and celery are good options.

Blend the fresh greens you pick to use with moderate water levels to smoothen it and freeze it.

Mix it up with add-ins in moderate amounts. For nutritious benefits, use protein powder, maca, collagen powder, cinnamon and chia seeds as they densely packed with nutrients and spice up the flavor.

Add liquid ingredients such as coconut oil, almond milk and turn on the blender till the mixture becomes smooth textured. Enjoy the healthy smoothie with your family.
