ALCOHOL AFFECTS

HOW ALCOHOL AFFECTS THE HEART

What are your thoughts about the study

Though drinking alcohol especially wine in moderate amounts is linked to heart health benefits, alcohol in general no matter the amounts is not healthy for the heart and body. Frequent alcohol consumption can weaken the heart muscles which eventually leads to cardiomyopathy, obesity and other heart diseases, hence I support the verdict of the verdict of the studies.

How does alcohol negatively affect the heart?

Alcohol can impact heart healthy in several ways including;

Can weaken heart muscles

Regular excess alcohol drinking can trigger myocardium a heart condition characterized by weak heart muscles and blood vessels. This impacts how the heart contracts, supply blood, nutrients and increase the risk if heart failures.

Can lead to irregular heart beats

Excessive alcohol consumption can result to arrhythmia, a heart condition which causes slow, or fast heart rates and stroke.

Heighten blood pressure

Alcohol can increase weakening and narrowing of blood vessels which lead to thick and hard arteries and veins causing hypertension as the heart struggles to pump blood effectively.

How dangerous is drinking more than the recommended maximum amount of alcohol on a regular basis?

In my opinion drinking excess alcohol than the daily recommended amounts increase the risk of heart disease, certain cancers and liver problems with 50% than moderate drinkers.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
