INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK

INFERTILITY AWARENESS WEEK

Infertility in women comes from ovulation issues. For instance, a problem that prevents or stops release of eggs during some cycles or all. Pelvic or cervical surgeries may also leave a scar on the oviduct and shorten the womb’s neck respectively. Some women may also have cervical mucus troubles that overwhelm conception. Other causes involve fibroids, endometriosis, and pelvic inflammatory disease. Conversely, men may have low sperm production, blockages that hinder sperm passage, and abnormal sperm function.

Tips to boost fertility to common myths debunked

A diet that boosts fertility is strict and routinely

Fertility boosting foods are nutrient-dense with high fiber. If you want to boost fertility, I advise on restricting inflammation-causing foods. Also, the best way is getting the required nutrients from varied foods and not a similar food every day. There is no routine, instead, make changes gradually to your diet, such as loading more plant-based proteins, nuts, and seeds to your diet as you limit meat proteins.

Pregnant women and those that want to conceive should avoid seafood

It is mythical to say that seafood is harmful to women and pregnancy. Research concludes that pregnant women require B vitamins and omega-3 from tuna and salmon. Even women trying to get pregnant and eat high seafood servings have  increased conceiving rates. The only worry about seafood is exposure to ones with high mercury levels.
