NIGHTTIME WEIGHT LOSS MISTAKES

Sleep makes us healthy and happy. It also regulates various body processes, including metabolism that maintains a healthy body weight. It suggests that less sleep could cause weight gain. That is why I compiled a few tips indicating the mistakes people make at night, leading to inadequate sleep and unhealthy weight. They include;

Enjoying screens before bed

Using the phone or watching TV denies chances of getting a peaceful night’s sleep. The blue light from screens disrupts your mind’s chemical and hormonal balances. This influences your sleep quality, which can cause weight gain. Something relaxing like yoga or book reading would help.

Drinking coffee at night

Coffee is a big enemy to sleep. During my career, I advised clients to drink it at least six hours before bed time to prevent its effects on weight gain. You should perhaps substitute it with warm water or herbal tea.

Physical inactivity

Lack of exercise or physical activity increases the chances of gaining weight during sleeping. The body utilizes energy stores for repair, muscle building, and replenishing the body following exercise. But nothing happens when you stay inactive. The extra calories will be stored, causing more weight gain.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
