SIGNS YOU MAY BE DEVELOPING DEMENTIA

Symptoms

Here are some early symptoms that might indicate you have dementia, including Alzheimer’s;

  • Frequent forgetfulness and memory losses were a friend or those close to you first noticed.
  • Increased paranoia, depression, paranoia, hallucinations, anxiety, and agitation.
  • Feelings of confusion.
  • Troubled fluent communication and wrong word choices.
  • Problems in reasoning, solving, or handling tasks.
  • Blurred vision, speech, and impacted spatial abilities.
  • Problems in organizing, coordinating, reasoning, and planning your things.

How Do They Differ from Less Serious Conditions?

The symptoms can easily be distinguished from other less serious conditions when they happen rapidly and tend not to disappear after a couple of days.

When should you see a doctor about these symptoms, and why is that important?

I highly recommend you seek medical help when you notice any dementia symptoms highlighted above, especially any decline in cognitive decline. Identifying the cause of your dementia can be easier when diagnosed earlier and helps doctors give you the right treatment to prevent worsening symptoms.

Using the acquired academic and professional experience, I advise patients with various complaints about mental health - depressed mood, nervousness, lack of energy and interest, sleep disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and anxieties, difficulty concentrating, and stress. In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
