One of the most obvious signs that your ex-lover is testing your feelings is emotions are highlighted in the frequent demands that they need a second chance or want to be back together. Most separated couples tend to fall for this as they try to work things again but it might or not turn out as expected. Your partner claiming to want to have you back can be a way to test if you still want them in your life or have feelings for them.
They frequently try to check on you
Do you find yourself frequently bothered by the idea of an ex checking in on how you are progressing? This can be a sign that they are trying to see if you are available and for you to refocus on the breakup. Exes do so to make you fall for their trap as they prompt your conscious to make you miss them, regret or reminisce on being back together. They can try to recreate the food memories you shared for you to miss them and give the relationship another chance.
