How to improve sperm health through diet and lifestyle

Regular exercise

Studies demonstrate that frequent exercise in men can boost testosterone and semen quality. Therefore, it is best to work out regularly, especially if you have low fertility levels. However, researchers discourage too much exercise as it can cause the opposite.

Use D-aspartic acid supplements

D-aspartic is an amino acid dietary supplement. This acid is found in semen, testicles, and sperm cells. Men with fertility issues have been found to have lower aspartic acid levels. It suggests that you can add it in your diet to increase testosterone levels and improve fertility.

How to get tested.

  • Visit a doctor for evaluation where you will be asked questions about your sex life and lifestyle, which help find the cause of infertility.
  • Semen and sperm analysis; checks your sperm count, movement, and shape to determine if your level is normal. Takes one test twice to confirm results.
  • Hormone evaluation; the specialist examines your testosterone levels and other related hormones to see if they could be the cause.
  • Physical examination; they my check for unusual veins around the testicles, which may be corrected with surgery.
  •  If the problem requires lifestyle changes, the doctor will advise further.
