SUPPLEMENTS FOR FATIGUE.

SUPPLEMENTS FOR FATIGUE.

1. Please share a few words on why someone might feel fatigued, and how supplements might help them feel better. (Is it often a case of a missing nutrient in a diet?)

Someone may feel fatigued due to poor eating habits, boredom, emotional stress, and poor sleeping pattern. Fatigue may also arise from infections, diabetes, hormonal imbalances, or arthritis.

2. What supplement do you recommend for fatigue or as an energy booster? Please share what the supplement is, what it does/how it works to improve energy, the dose to take, and any potential side effects. Thank you!

I recommend the following supplements;

Iron

The body needs iron for efficient hemoglobin production, which conveys oxygen to various parts. Iron is an enzymes cofactor that enhances reduction and oxidation processes- oxygen reactions significant for energy metabolism. Therefore, it is important to fill up with iron supplements because your fatigue could be due to iron deficiency, especially among women having heavy menses and pregnant ones.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 helps the body in numerous functions, such as, making DNA, improving brain function, and changing food into energy. Therefore, supplementing with this vitamin can improve energy levels in the body, and you can naturally obtain it from animal proteins like tuna, beef, and sardines.

Coenzyme Q10

Did you know that the body naturally releases coenzyme Q10 for converting food into body fuel? Yes, almost all organs require this nutrient for effective functioning. But its amount reduces as we age possibly causing fatigue. I always advise my colleagues and clients to consider coQ10 supplements for helping maintain the levels.
