What’s The Definition of Omnisexuality?

A person that identifies as omnisexual is attracted to a person regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Omnisexuality fits into the multisexuality category for people that are attracted to more than one gender. Other multisexual sexual orientations include polysexual, bisexual and pansexual.

How Is Omnisexuality Different from Pansexuality?

The terms Omnisexual and Pansexual are often used interchangeably but there is a difference. People that identify as pansexual are attracted to a person without acknowledging their gender. It isn’t a factor than a pansexual considers. However, a person that identifies as omnisexual does recognize and acknowledge the other person’s gender.Another way of putting it is that pansexuals are gender blind whereas omnisexuals are not.

For Someone Who Is Non-Monosexual, What Tips Do You Have for Finding a Label That Works Best for You?

My best advice is to do your research on all of the different mono-sexual identities and find one that resonates with you the most. I’d also look into why it’s important for you to have that label.
