Although watching a movie makeover can be oddly satisfying, behind the curtains, it leaves most women with insecurities. The film transformations tell women who think they are not good-looking that they cannot be comfortable and confident if they do not do something about their looks. If you ask me, bowing to society’s beauty standards can do tremendous damage to your identity. As a cultural commentator, I am always against the idea of giving up your identity for someone else.
