Veins

Veins

Veins are blood vessels that ensure blood from capillaries reaches the heart. Blood carried in veins is usually dark red because it lacks oxygen. Once the oxygen-rich blood leaves the heart, it enters the arteries, which in turn supplies the blood to various body organs and tissue.

Vein Checks

A vein check or Doppler ultrasound test describes using sound waves asses the vein function. Vein checks are a great way to detect chronic venous disease, including thread and varicose veins. The good thing about vein check is that it is painless, and you can do it without special preparation.

Avoiding Vein Issues/Dealing with Vein Issues

Follow a good diet

Follow a diet high in fiber and low in salt. Fiber prevents the formation of blood clots, while low salt intake discourages the risk of water retention, which can cause unhealthy veins. You should also take more Vitamin-C-rich foods to boost collagen and elastin. Increased collagen and elastin production means your veins can contract and dilates as they should.

Get Comprehension stockings

Pregnancy and obesity cause too much sitting. Because this puts a lot of pressure on your legs, you may really want comprehension stockings to keep the muscles around the veins tight, allowing your veins to function properly.
