WEIGHT LOSS TIPS THAT DON’T WORK

As a dietitian, here are some weight loss tips that are ineffective;

Chew gum before eating

Some studies show that chewing gum earlier before meals can lower hunger levels and make you consume less to support weight less. More recent studies show that this is not actually the case as people who tend to eat minted or flavored gums opt for unhealthy foods which can bulk up your weight. The flavor in chewing game is believed to impact your taste buds and make you feel that some healthy foods such as vegies, and fruits are not delicious. Gum chewing might not aid in weight reduction is you opt for unhealthy meals.

Opting for low fat foods

It’s common for people to pick foods that are indicated to be low in fat in effort to lower their calorie intake. On the contrary, most low-fat foods are packed with similar calories compared to the original version. The biggest mistake people when taking low calorie foods is eating more which adds up your calorie consumption than what you wished for delaying your weight loss process.
