FRUITS THAT REDUCE INFLAMMATION / SLOW AGING

1. Why is fruit in general so great for reducing inflammation/slowing aging? Are some fruits more beneficial than others in this regard?

Fruits are the best because they mainly contain antioxidants and flavonoids that fight radicals, which damage body cells causing inflammation. Some fruits are better than others because of more anti-inflammatory compounds compared to others.

2. Please list at least 3 fruits that can reduce inflammation or slow aging. For each fruit, explaining what specific nutrients it contains that provide these benefits and why/how. (Any studies you can cite are helpful but not required!)

Berries

Consuming berries supplies the body with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Berries specifically have anthocyanins containing anti-inflammatory features for attacking inflammation and boosting immunity.

Dates

Dates contain polyphenols compounds that lower inflammation and oxidative stress. Eating them helps keep the body safe from diabetes, heart disease, and cancer risks. I like snacking with dates or having them in cheese cream and peanut butter. Their antioxidants are wonderful for attacking free radicals and delaying the aging process.

Papaya

Papaya carries valuable nutrients, including vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals that reduce general aging signs. Furthermore, it has a papain enzyme that functions as an anti-inflammatory agent for glowing looks.
