HEALTH AND COGNITIVE BENEFITS OF READING

I always tell my clients that reading is not just a thing for students and researchers. It is best if treated as a lifestyle trick because of the endless health benefits achieved. For example;

Reduces the risk of Alzheimer’s disease

Keeping your brain active, especially through filling puzzles, reading, or playing chess, is great for your mental health. Researchers in neurology suggest that it can reduce the risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease by two and a half times compared to making the brain inactive.

Enhances intelligence

I love reading several books and materials for exposure to new things. For example, I learn more vocabulary and findings I may never have met before. I also have a home library full of books for all ages, starting from children’s stories to theses and different course works. My children understand the need for reading, and I can confirm they are intelligent.

Improves sleep

Reading a book before bedtime is among the best things you can do for a peaceful night. It calms and relaxes the brain, preparing it for sleep, and we all know how meaningful adequate sleep is. I always insist on reading a tangible book rather than a screendocument. Research demonstrate that screen exposure before bedtime can alter your brain and ruin sleep. Therefore, flip a few pages on your favorite storybook or educative handouts before going to bed, and you will thank me later.

I believe that nutrition science is a wonderful helper both for the preventive improvement of health and adjunctive therapy in treatment. My goal is to help people improve their health and well-being without torturing themselves with unnecessary dietary restrictions. I am a supporter of a healthy lifestyle – I play sports, cycle, and swim in the lake all year round. With my work, I have been featured in Vice, Country Living, Harrods magazine, Daily Telegraph, Grazia, Women's Health, and other media outlets.
