How to use anal beads

For people who have never tried anal beads, what is it about them that people enjoy, and why should someone consider investing in them?

The anus is an often untapped source of pleasure and there are many different ways to get pleasure from anal play. There is still a lot of stigma around anal play but if you can get over that you’re in for a whole new world of sexual fun. The area around the opening of the anus is full of nerve endings making it an incredibly sensitive area when stimulated.

Anal beads are designed to move around both inside your anus and be pulled in and out of you. When the anal beads are pulled out they stimulate the nerve endings that surround your sphincter muscle. This is a very pleasurable feeling. How often you remove the beads and the speed you use is down to each individual involved.

Some people prefer to keep the beads inside them leaving their hands free for stimulating their partner or their own body elsewhere.

What’s your biggest tip that people should know when trying anal beads for the first time?

Lube is crucial for safe and enjoyable anal play regardless of the toy you’re using. The anus doesn’t naturally lubricate like a vagina does so you will need to use lube. When it comes to the amount the more the better.

If you’re completely new to anal play then I’d highly recommend starting with a finger first so you can get used to the sensation. Once you’re happy with that you can work up to anal beads.

People are often scared of anal beads but I can assure you there is nothing to be afraid of. When used right they can be incredibly enjoyable and add a whole new dimension to your sexual play.

Start with smaller beads to see how you get on then slowly work up to larger ones. If you’re using them with a partner make sure it’s someone you trust and feel comfortable with. The best beginner anal beads are the ones with beads that start small and progressively get bigger. These are best for beginners as you can start with the smaller beads on the string, access how you feel and then potentiality move up the bigger balls. Find ones that have between 3-4 beads to start with. Stay away from cheap anal beads and make sure they’re made from a body safe material such as silicone. I’d recommend avoiding anal beads that are made from certain plastics or jelly as they are porous materials which means bacteria can get trapped inside them making them hard to clean.

Always, always clean your anal beads after use. If your anal beads are made from silicone you can use warm water and a body-safe soap. Make sure to dry them thoroughly before you put them away.

Never put anything into your anus that hasn’t been specifically designed to go in there. Don’t attempt to make your own anal beads.

Go slow and enjoy the process. There is no end goal when it comes to anal beads they are simply made to be enjoyed in any way that feels good for you.

How do anal beads differ from butt plugs? How can someone determine which option would be best for them?

Anal beads and butt plugs both go inside the anus but they work in different ways. Anal beads give you pleasure through movement, where as a butt plug works by making your anus feel full which puts pressure on the surrounding tissue. Most people use a butt plug before they have anal sex to ensure they are sufficiently stretched and ready. A butt plug once inside you is meant to stay where it is whereas anal beads are designed to move around, specifically in and out of your anus.

Everyone is different and enjoys different sensations so I’d recommend trying both to see which you prefer.

Few creative ways someone might use anal beads

Anal beads can be used in a variety of different scenarios. If you’re new to anal beads I’d suggest inserting a few small ones and leaving them in their whilst your partner stimulates you. If you feel comfortable with that you can move onto having penetrative sex with the beads still inside you.

If you’re using your anal beads solo they can be great for heightening your masturbation experience. Simply put them inside you and masturbate as you normally would. They add a whole new dimension to your masturbation experience.

Pull out your anal beads just as you’re about to climax for a truly amazing orgasm.
