TIPS ON WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN FOUNDATION IF YOU HAVE MATURE SKIN OR ACNE-PRONE SKIN

What should people with mature/older skin look for in;

Foundation

I highly recommend that mature or older women invest in creamy or light and thin foundations. They should buy hydrating foundations and keep powder foundations.

Specific ingredients

Foundation ingredients such as hyaluronic acids, peptides, niacinamide, shea butter, turmeric, fruits extracts, sodium hyaluronate, glycerin, and aloe hydrate are best for mature skin.

Primer

I recommend primer products containing soothing and hydrating ingredients such as coconut water, collagen, and hyaluronic acid.

What to Avoid

I advise you avoid foundation or primer products with heavy powder formulations and mineral components as they can worsen the aging signs.

How to Apply

Start by moisturizing, then use a soft sponge to apply the primer as the base of your foundation, and lastly, apply the liquid or light foundation gently on the face.

What should people with acne-prone skin look for in a foundation

People with acne-prone skin should invest in liquid foundations containing zinc, aloe vera, kaolin clay, salicylic acid, and tea tree.

Specific ingredients top stay away from

I highly suggest avoiding lauric acids, algae extracts, benzaldehyde, acetylated lanolin, and stearic acid products.

How to best apply foundation when with acne-prone skin

Apply moderate amounts of the liquid foundation and smooth it on the face using a soft sponge.
