Coping Mechanisms for Missing Work Due to Mental Health

Let us start with taking care of your body (eating well-balanced meals and engaging in regular physical activity). Exercise surprises the production and release of adrenaline and cortisol and encourages the production of endorphins, which lift your mood. If you are in good spirits, stress and other mental health issues automatically find their way out. On the other hand, foods including chocolate, green tea, oily fish, grain legumes (lentils, black beans, or lima beans), and whole fruits (bananas, apples, and oranges) boost the production of happy hormones (serotine, oxytocin, and endorphins). Higher happy hormones store positively affect your emotional, psychological and social well-being (key components of mental health). Besides making changes to your diet and staying active, you may also want to get enough sleep. Research shows that a good night’s sleep promotes weight loss or weight management, improves memory, and lessens the risk of depression and anxiety.

Using the acquired academic and professional experience, I advise patients with various complaints about mental health - depressed mood, nervousness, lack of energy and interest, sleep disorders, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and anxieties, difficulty concentrating, and stress. In my free time, I love to paint and go on long walks on the beach. One of my latest obsessions is sudoku – a wonderful activity to calm an unease mind.
