How To Deal with Jealous People

Jealous people react negatively to your achievements or happiness. Since they have “failed” to achieve the same success, they are more likely to make negative comments loudly or in their head. So, how can you deal with such people?

Be Kind to Them

Although this may sound counterintuitive, it is the best way to strengthen your relationship with a jealous person. Showing jealous people acts of kindness confirms to them that your intentions are pure. This pushes them back to the drawing board, where they will assess themselves. From this, a better relationship can be born.

Develop A Sense of Empathy

Jealousy is a horrible feeling that can easily sabotage your relationship. To avoid this, have a sense of empathy with the jealous person. Turning their annoyance or bitterness into empathy strengthens your connection. Also, it weeds out jealousy, changing their lives.

Remain Positive

Hurtful comments from a person jealous of you can make you react with negativity. Since it is the other person having deep-seated issues, I advise that you do not retaliate and give back the negative energy. This fades the lines between your relationship, which is not a good thing.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
