MALARIA AWARENESS DAY

MALARIA AWARENESS DAY

Unusual symptoms or how it may have impacted you after the infection had passed.

Malaria can have some long-term impacts on one’s health that were not previously linked to it. My study of some of my friend’s kids prone to malaria from a young age can lead to a lower or weaker immune response as some of the key cells to fighting off diseases are damaged by the parasites. Malaria can decrease cognitive function as the plasmodium falciparum parasite triggers changes in the brain cell structures and cells. This leads to poor moto or communication skills, frequent seizures, heightened risks of ADHD, or poor visual.

At times, malaria can have unusual symptoms or complications such as shock characterized by a rapid decrease in blood pressure or blood sugar, jaundice, liver or kidney failure, and spleen swelling.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
