There are many meditation apps that people can choose from to suit their personal needs. Meditation apps entail numerous techniques, layouts, and individual plans to help you get through a session. They include; headspace, calm, breathe, YogaGLO, insight timer, iBreathe and simple habits.

I recommend the following meditation techniques

Mindful meditation

This type of meditation entails staying in the moment as you focus on your breath. Find a cool, quiet place and try to clear all thoughts in your brain for 5 minutes as you pay attention to your breathing sequence. It can help improve concentration and focus.

Progressive relaxation meditation

Also known as the body scan meditation. It involves squeezing and relaxing specific body muscles at a time as you slowly progress from the feet to the head. It helps release the tension built up in our bodies and makes us feel relaxed. Other meditation techniques are; breathe awareness, zen, kundalini yoga, and transcendental meditation.
