There is no denying that women over 50 are more susceptible to mental health issues than they were younger. While a lot of things can contribute to this, menopause is always the biggest culprit. During menopause, women experience hormonal changes. The result? Mood changes happen (think; irritability, aggressiveness, sadness, depression, and stress). While medications and psychotherapy may help, I have a different idea-CBD oil. CBD oil does not need an introduction if you are a member of the cannabis community. However, as a quick refresher, CBD oil is a hugely popular form of CBD or cannabidiol. When consumed, it activates the serotonin receptors found in our brain. As a result, the serotonin levels climb. We all know the mental-related benefits of high serotonin levels. As a mental health expert, I prefer CBD oil to antidepressants because it works super-fast. What’s more, it helps you avoid the side effects of antidepressants- sexual dysfunction, sleep issues, and loss of appetite.
