SURPRISING RISK FACTORS FOR SUFFERING MUSCLE-RELATED STATIN SIDE EFFECTS

Having a weak frame is a surprising risk factor for myopathy from statins. Narrow shoulders, hips, and joints impair the proper functioning of other skeletal muscles weakening the connected bones and joints. It also lowers muscle strength as key nutrients such as proteins, kinase, and other enzymes are not fully distributed to the needed parts. This causes abnormal structures or metabolism, and progressive weakness in the narrow muscle cells and joints which worsens with statins effects on the poor body frame.

Frailty can heighten the risk of statin-induced myopathy. Frailty can lead to reduced muscle strength, stability, endurance, and increased muscle vulnerability due to a decline in overall muscle quality. This lowers mobility, weight loss, joint fractures, frequent inflammation, reduced physical activity, slow recovery of muscles or joints speeding up, and worsening risks of muscle weakness or injuries from taking statin medications.

Other risk factors from myopathy can be low or reduced electrolyte levels, metabolic disorders, and endocrine disorders.

I am deeply convinced that each patient needs a unique, individual approach. Therefore, I use different psychotherapy methods in my work. During my studies, I discovered an in-depth interest in people as a whole and the belief in the inseparability of mind and body, and the importance of emotional health in physical health. In my spare time, I enjoy reading (a big fan of thrillers) and going on hikes.
