From my research taking foods or supplements high in vitamin B9 can have the following benefits;
- Folic acid or vitamin B9 helps form and mature red blood cells.
- It enhances cellular division and functioning during infancy, pregnancy, and puberty by facilitating the rapid growth of the needed tissues or cells.
- When combined with vitamin B12, vitamin B9 can stimulate the formation of red blood cells and improve the efficiency of iron nutrients in the body.
- Folate supports the production of more genetic materials such as RNA and DNA.
Foods High in Vitamin B9
I highly recommend increasing your intake of beans, liver, peanuts, fresh fruits, sunflower seeds, dark green leafy veggies like broccoli, spinach, kale, asparagus lettuce, and Brussel sprouts; they are excellent sources of vitamin B9.
